Muslim Student’s Oath

Under oath in the name of Allah, we (sila sebut nama sendiri)

As students of the International Islamic University Malaysia solemnly pledge under oath that we shall:

1. 1.  At all times uphold the good name, Philosophy, Vision and Mission of the International Islamic University Malaysia and obey the University’s Rules and Regulations and the Laws of Malaysia:

2. 2. Uphold the constitution of the University and give due respect at all times to all academic and administrations staff, security officers and elders as required by the Islamic ethics:

3. 3.  At all times, perform our religious duties that are obligatory upon us as Muslim and observe the Islamic code of conduct as required by the Shari’ah such shall include proper covering of the ‘aurah and the prohibition of any form of immoral and unethical relationship with the same and opposite genders inside and outside the campus.  Therefore, we shall be steadfast in performing our five (5) daily prayers regularly, conduct ourselves with decency, dignity and piety in conformity with the teachings of Islam:

4. 4. Never, in any manner assist directly or indirectly the spread of belief, ideas, isms and ideologies that are contrary to the teachings of Islam:

5. 5. Seek knowledge diligently and in all humility, in conformity with our sacred role as servant (‘abd) of Allah and His vicegerent (khalifah) on earth:

6. 6. Promote the spirit of Islamic brotherhood and curb ethnic polarization, conflict, animosity, hatred and slander among students and in the University community arising from conflicting political party allegiances, or different religious beliefs or any other cause of social conflict:

7. 7. Apply the knowledge that we have acquired and the profession that we are trained for in accordance with Islamic principles of truth and justice for the sake of universal welfare, peace and harmony among mankind, irrespective of race, colour, religion or country.

We thereby declare that we, as students of the International Islamic University Malaysia accept all the above as binding upon us, fully aware that the University, being Islamic in the name and character regards any deviation from the shari’ah and the Islamic code of conduct as serious breach of the University’s discipline, which would make us liable, to receive penalty under the University Discipline of Students Rules

Okay, korang ingat lagi tak?  Oh, no worries, aku tak marah pun kalau korang tak ingat (sebab aku pun tak hafal, ehehe) aku pun salin dari leaflet yang dapat masa taaruf dulu.  Reading this again makes me ponder.  Aku tak tahu lah apa perasaan korang kalau baca.  

Mungkin untuk sesetengah orang ini cuma perkataan yang takde makna.  

Mungkin untuk sesetengah orang ini bukan sekadar perkataan, it holds a deeper meaning.

PS:   Tiba-tiba je rasa macam nak share benda ni.  Kalau korang tak kuasa nak baca penuh-penuh bai'ah ni, aku dah highlight dah point yang aku rasa penting.  Hehe.  Good luck quiz pharm anal esok! :)
